What makes a next best action worth acting on

Acceptance rate is the score for engagement programmes, and the reason attached to each action is what moves it.

Engagement programmes report what they sent. Forty thousand suggestions delivered, coverage across the base — numbers that are easy to produce and say little about what happened next.

The informative number is the share acted on inside the cycle. It is usually available in the CRM already, and it reframes every conversation about the programme.

What moves acceptance, in order
1stDeliver inside the system the team already has open
2ndAttach the reason and evidence to every action
3rdSend fewer, better-ranked actions per cycle

Nobody opens a conversation on the strength of a rank. A suggestion that can be explained in one sentence to the person across the desk gets used — and adding that one sentence has taken acceptance up around two and a half times on the programmes we have measured.

Fewer, better-explained actions outperform more of them, consistently.
